Chibi Commisions

Hey, this is Mocha.

I will still be doing chibi commisions at the cafe, bearing in mind I don't watch too much anime apart from Naruto and Bleach my knowledge of characters is a little poor but for a donation to the cause I will draw a chibi version of you.
I'm doing chibi's of the staff, one example of a CG'd chibi is to the left, this is the mascot of the cafe Willow.


Of course I will only be using coloured pencils or inking pens, but if you donate a little bit more I'll trace a double and take one home to CG.


I'm also offering myself up for 'Beat the Staff Member' on DDR if we successfully get a TV. I'll probably be equipped with my own special mat though ;D.(i'm not very good, it's ok!)
Prize still undecided, though it might be a little cake or something similar.




Anyway, only a few more weeks to go!

The date of the cafe has CHANGED to the 17th of august. because so many people were complaining how close the cafe was to Amecon we ecided to change the date so as many people as possible could make it. sorry if this is in the way of your plans now!

FINAL DATES!

We have got the final date of the cafe!

Where: Rox School of Dance and Drama, Hove, Unit 3 Hove industrial park.

When: 3rd of august

Time: 12 noon - 4pm

Dress Code: casual or cosplay we really don't mind!

What to expect to pay: the cost to you would be any fees you use to get down to hove on the day plus however much you are prepared to spend of delicious food!

What to expect food-wise: lots of different cakes including: Strawberry Shortcake, Chocolate, Victoria Sponge, Fairy Cakes, decorate your own cakes.
Cookies
Onigiri
Drinks: Sodas including: cream soda, lemonade, cola and various others. Juices/Squashes: Black current and orange
Hot drinks: Tea, Coffee

Activities: we will be holding a mini cosplay competition in which the winner will be given a box of giant pocky and 2nd place winning a box of regular pocky.
we are trying to arrange for a TV and Playstation for some kind of tournament involving fighter games such as Neo Geo Battle Collesium and Tekken in a "beat the staff" style competition. prize still to be comfirmed.
NOT A FIXED ACTIVITIES LIST! these may change determing on the funds.
There will also be anime spot the difference puzzles and colouring in pictures for children.
Mocha has kindly offered to draw everyone chibis of themselves for a small donation. so if you find a Mew Mew Lettuce doodling people throw some money at her and she'll draw you as a chibi! ^^

RESULTS!

As it's getting close to the event and we still don't have a venue and it was taking the scout leaders aaaages to get back to Hex, i hit google and found Rox School of Dance and Drama aaaand that they hired out rooms!
So i emailed the leader person to make sure and it's true! they hire out halls of different sizes for different prices per hour (hopefully we won't be there more than 3 or 4) and that she'd like us to take a look. i'll be emailing GunstarxVixen on cosplay island and she if she'd be willing to go have a butchers.

The venue is about a 5 minute walk from HOVE train station in the industrial park place. ^^ hopefully we'll have news soon!

Hi i'm Hex
I am like Nat in the fact that i am helping Hexi with the cafe and hope to have fun doing it with them and you too. I am currentley waiting for a reply from the people i contacted in a way of venue. If i can find a phone number it would be so much more useful *hint hint* but for now i will wait and look. So that is me. I will be cosplaying as my own varient of a mew maid (i call her dark mew mew), otherwise it would just be to much cute lolita. Dont you agree?

aaany who, i've been working on a new banner for this page as it's loking a little bland so please expect one within the next few days.
i STILL haven't gotten a reply from the hart county council about policies and conditions on catering licenses and it's been a week since i emailed them and was told my email was being forwarded to so-and-so of the something-or-other office. so yeah, no help there, i'll email them again and pester them.

we've pretty much decided on a scout hut now, it's 4th/7th brighton scout group. except it's notin actual brighton itself. it's actually close to London Road station which is the stop BEFORE brighton. it shouldn't be a huge problem so hopefully it won't stop people from coming. i'll post a map and directions closer to the time as we still need to book it. hopefully i'll be getting on with that in the next few weeks unless another commitee member agrees to do it *hint hint* as i'm concentrating on my Final Major Project for college right now and need to spend these next 2 weeks working galantly and taking everything head on and getting finished as actually passing my course. plus i hate using phones.
i'd rather email or text someone than phone them, i'm good in person but over the phone i stutter and all sorts. whatever.

Jeepers we've only got 1 week until expo.
handing out flyers and things will be fun.... woot.
*runs off to compile some flyer examples* man we need more printer ink... black and white flyers aren't as interesting though..... maybe a little bit of colour then. like a picture and the title?
